AI agents are advanced software programs that function autonomously to perform specific tasks without human assistance, and have become the latest buzzword for technology and business.
Kari Briski, Vice President of AI Software at Nvidia, told entrepreneurs that AI agents will change the way we think about our daily tasks, from writing code and research papers to managing calendars and payroll.

According to the Franklin Templeton 2025 Technology Outlook Thesis, AI agents have a variety of practical cases for everyday life, from tutoring to eating planning, from travel to travel. In business, you can automatically ask and respond to customer questions by examining answers in internal documents.
Meanwhile, companies from Salesforce to Nvidia have introduced their own AI agents with the aim of helping workers and customers make their lives easier.
But how does this technology actually help your business?

Briski said entrepreneurs and founders who want to start their own businesses can use AI agents to create code and create business plans. Agents can even act as “sparling partners” to brainstorm ideas and think about situations.
“If you’ve ever realized you’re a little more productive when you can hold back someone, your agents can provide it to help you become more productive,” Briski said. “It can be repeated now, rather than having to go and look for an expert who may not have time.”
Briski also noted that AI writing codes have come a long way. In the past, the technology focused on code completion. With this code complete, the AI has finished the line of code when the programmer typed out. Now, AI agents create their own complete programs and “have ten times more productive” for software developers, she says. This frees up developers time to focus on system architecture, products and end-user experiences.

This technology helps you study employee research faster by surfing the web, finding sources, and writing in-depth research papers based on prompts.
For example, competitor Openai demonstrated its ChatGpt Deep Research agent earlier this year. Openai relies on Nvidia chips to power AI products, but by the end of the year, it is working on developing its own AI chip.
Briski said over the past two years, Nvidia’s technology has saved ServiceNow, a cloud-based platform that helps businesses create and automate over 400,000 hours of human workforce.
“AI agents provide complex decision-making capabilities and the ability to interact and influence the environment,” says Briski.
How much does an AI agent cost?
Nvidia did not disclose the software for enterprise software to create AI agent costs, but Transputec estimates the technology can cost from $0.99 per conversation and up to $30 per hour for more complex tasks.
Salesforce AI agents cost $2 per conversation and can be used for tasks like customer service and employee support. Openai reportedly has a PHD level AI agent from $2,000 to $20,000 a month. The paid ChatGPT Pro plan with deep search features costs $200 per month.
“AI agents that can be used as a service start with very expensive because they have a very large infrastructure and services,” Briski says.
Still, high price tags do not prevent companies from using AI agents. Accenture, DataStax, and Oracle are all using NVIDIA’s AI to build corporate agents.
