HCLTech strengthens its engineering, AI and cloud-native offerings for the telecom industry

new york And Noida, India, December 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — HCLTech, a leading global technology company, today signed an agreement to acquire HPE’s communications solutions business, further strengthening its market-leading position in the communications industry.

Following a previous transaction with HPE in 2024, HCLTech gains additional industry-leading intellectual property (IP), product engineering and research and development talent, and customer relationships with the world’s top communications service providers (CSPs) through this new acquisition agreement. Telco Solutions supports more than 1 billion devices through its solutions in more than 200 deployments worldwide. This enables operations support systems (OSS), home subscriber servers (HSS), and 5G subscriber data management (SDM) with advanced AI-driven closed-loop network automation for seamless network monetization.

Telco Solutions was previously part of HPE’s Communications Technology Group (CTG), from which HCLTech acquired certain assets in 2024. The previously acquired CTG portfolio, which spans business support systems (BSS), network applications, service cloudization, and data intelligence, has been successfully integrated and is currently growing.

HCLTech leverages this expanded capability to accelerate network transformation, network-as-a-service (NaaS), and AI-driven autonomous networking. As part of this agreement, approximately 1,500 engineering and communications professionals from 39 countries will join HCLTech’s global delivery team to help grow the business.
