A revolutionary AI-powered platform designed to make healthy living easier, Konsume has featured the winners of the Generating AI Network (GAIN) Hackathon, hosted by business and high-tech incubation outfits, insciglabs.
The GEN AI Network (GAIN) is an initiative designed to provide university students with a hands-on experience with artificial intelligence.
Through a combination of workshops, collaborative projects and inter-university hackathons, GAIN enables students to build a professional portfolio that enhances career opportunities while connecting with global AI companies.
According to Michael Osumo, Project Manager at Instiglabs, Gain Hackathon is a flagship event that uses AI-driven solutions to tackle students’ urgent challenges in a variety of sectors, including healthcare, finance and education. Participating teams will work on developing innovative prototypes and compete for cash prizes and potential incubation.
The hackathon judges include Manassee Egejegg, Derek Chung, Taiwan Slimon, Joshua Udensi and Eric Ezenwanne.

The platform integrates with restaurants to allow users to track progress and maintain a customizable meal timetable while offering curated meal options.
Konsume also promotes community engagement through interactive blogs and streaks, allowing users to share tips, recipes and achievements.
The team consists of backend developers Hasbiyallah Oyebo, Frontend Developer, Oluwasegun Ojo, and product designer Seyi Ogundipe.
The second award was sent to Clarkai, an AI-driven research assistant who helps quickly generate notes and summaries from PDF, YouTube videos and audio input.
The platform offers AI-driven insights, multilingual support for translation materials, and an AI image scanner for analyzing scanned notes.
The Clarkai team consists of UI/UX designer Ogundipe Oluwaseyi Emmanuel and developer Ashiru Sheriffdeen Olanrewaju.
Getoai is an application that automates the creation of newsletters on recent advances in machine learning, deep learning, and AI, and ranked third in the competition.
The Getoai team includes developers Chukwuebuka Ezeokeke, Python Developer, Nwokocha Bethel Dan, and assistant developer Ezeugwu Romanus Chukwuemeka.
